Administrators can merge tickets together using 'Cut and Paste'. If you want this done, simply ask an administrator to do it for you.
Steps for Administrators to merge tickets:
- Disable Notifications - click the 'Notify Enabled' link under the main body of the ticket - it will then change to 'Notify Disabled'
- Go to the 'source' ticket or comment to be merged and click the 'cut' link
- NOTE - it will cut all related threads below the item to cut - this may or may not include all comments, depending on which item to which the reply was made
- Go to the 'target' ticket or comment and click 'paste' on the appropriate item to attach the thread - if unsure, select the 'paste' link on the main body
- Reenable notification - click the 'Notify Disabled' link under the main body of the ticket - it will then change to 'Notify Enabled'
